VisualJS Alpha Demo

Have you ever got a successful desktop application that needs to work under web browsers? Or Have you ever tried to create a web application as much as comprehensive a desktop application? Obviously, there is many questions to ask and the answer would be no or not so easy.

I tried to use MS Silverlight or Adobe Flex to achieve same results but on the Flex side, there were many things to do on the server side and there was no enough Silverlight installation on the market.

Obviously, neither Flex or Silverlight are not flexible as much as Javascript. Not just that! How about the mobile devices.. Apple has just decided to leave his way with Flash. So, I was needing a solution to create a web application just like a desktop application. Not just me, many developers should have the need for such a solution.

Simply, many months past since this idea came to my mind first and recently i released the first alpha video for VisualJS.

There will be many demo videos and a setup package soon. For now, i want to share the implemented features of VisualJS :

  • All known Windows Form Controls implemented
  • Extra Web controls like Captcha, Upload Control etc. implemented
  • Supports multi forms and run time Control / Form creation
  • Theme support
  • As much as flexible like Windows Form applications
  • Cost effective on server side
  • JQuery UI compatible
  • And the most important one : There is no performance impact on the server side.
Last, VisualJS project will be a part of PokeIn Library and there will be more information soon.

Hi,

I have an IDE for Web Development named "Automato". www.automato.org

I would like to know more about VisualJS to integrate with my IDE, so you can design outside Visual Studio and increase your sales.

Behind the scenes, there is a fully integrated control architecture with Visual Studio Designer. It doesn't seem possible. But I'm looking forward to hear about System.Window.Forms class / designer implementation from Mono / MonoDevelop teams.

Anyway thanks!

Yes. I know, but I'm using "wrappers" for controls Designer, so I can generate the code for your framework as I do with "VisualWebGui".

Are you creating this Framework alone ?
Don't need help ?
